Research in the field of "Data Science" at the Beuth University
The Data Science Research Center at the Beuth University conducts practice-relevant basic research and applied research in publicly funded projects and projects with industrial partners.
Practice-relevant basic research has a research horizon of about 36-60 months and looks at fundamental and often risky research questions.
Applied research transfers and perfects fundamentals in selected scenarios. The typical project duration is about 12-18 months. An example of such projects is the cooperation of students with companies in the course Enterprise Data Management. Students develop prototypical solutions for Real-World problems in the field of search and data mining in the course and in subsequent master theses with companies such as Zalando, Springer Science + Business Media or HERE (formerly NOKIA HERE).
